Hi ya'll. My name is Melissa (My friends call me Mel, Billabong, blondie, or whatever seems appropriate at the moment).
I got the band together. The name 'Vertical Aim' is credited to our former drummer, Brent Rogers. Basically, it means that
we are doing this to serve the Lord. Anyway, 'bout me. I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I play the drums, piano, guitar, clarinet,
and harmonica. Since that is my main God-given talent, I decided to use it in creating this band, playing on worship teams,
and helping friends out for talent shows and stuff. I also write alot. I'm in the midst of writing a book about a trip to
California (Yeah, that's why I got the name Billabong. I'm a surf/soccer/punk rock nut), I've written all of our songs,
and I've had poems published in the International Library of Poetry.
My favorite bands: The Offspring, Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Sublime, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chris Tomlin, MXPX,
Relient K, Five Iron Frenzy, Nirvana, Steven Curtis Champan, Blink 182, Incubus, Creed, Linkin Park, Pennywise, SHEdaisy,
Dixie Chicks DC Talk, John Reuben, PAX217, P.O.D, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Boston, ok....I'll cut it short. Almost
anything Christian & Punk Rock. I'll listen to anything but bluegrass, opera, glam rock, and david bowie.
